Rationale
The creation of a VTA EdTech SIG is proposed because there has not been any existing VTA SIG in charge of issues related to technology in education. If the VTA EdTech SIG is formed, all relevant activities organised by VTA in general and the SIG in particular will be guided, consulted, supported and organised consistently and professionally.
Mission
To provide activities that engages, empowers and inspires EFL lecturers, teachers, researchers, practitioners and students to promote the application of technology in EFL teaching and learning.
Specific purposes
The activities are organised for EFL lecturers, teachers, researchers, practitioners and students throughout Vietnam for the purposes of:
- stimulating the application of technology in EFL teaching and learning
- creating a network and a forum to share and learn from each other
- forming SIGs to conduct projects about professional learning, action research conference presentations and paper writing and
- advancing professional learning and innovating EFL teaching and learning through the application of technology.
